Lodge of Instruction - George Washington and the Bee Hive Lecture |
|
Wyllys- Saint John's Lodge No. 4 A.F. & A.M. hosted its second Lodge of Instruction on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 7:30 PM. Lodge Historian Carl R. Johnson presented a wonderful lecture on Worshipful Brother George Washington and his career as an American icon and Freemason. The lodge then paused for refreshment and reconvened for the presentation of the Second Section Lectures of the Master Mason Degree (AKA The Beehive Lecture) followed by an in lodge discussion of the symbolism of the degree. The lodge's Master's Carpet was unfurled for the event for the first time in many years. It made for an impressive display.
